At The Tollgate Practice our patients are offered a wide range of excellent services. The Practice is an advanced practice in Diabetes with a chronic disease nurse. All our female patients are offered appointments for women's health support with our nurse practitioner and a female GP. We have a phlebotomy service every morning and, in addition, are able to provide the following services/clinics for our patients - podiatry, health visitor, GP Care Advisor and a visiting midwife.

We are open 8.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday but are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. On Tuesdays we offer late evening appointments which are available until 7.30pm. We are also closed between 1.00pm and 2.00pm each weekday for lunch and staff training.

Each morning we have open appointments with nurses and doctors;  if it is urgent for you to be seen on the same morning, you can come to the surgery without an appointment between 8.30am and 10.00am.  We will try to ensure that you get to see your own doctor whenever possible.  The nurse practitioner will see minor ailments and she can prescribe for some minor illnesses.  However, procedures such as blood pressure or blood tests will need an actual appointment with the nurse or the healthcare assistant.

There are also appointment times available each morning with doctors, nurses and/or a healthcare assistant and these can be booked in advance.  In addition, there are extended clinics on one evening each week  - please contact the surgery for details.
